It's beginning to feel more like Christmas every day!
I finally got the Christmas spirit yesterday & put up my tree. I have had a bit of a mental block about it for weeks now. Usually I put up my tree on the 1st December so I was almost 2 weeks late getting this task done. Now that it’s finished I wonder why I was putting it off. The tree looks lovely with all the ornaments I’ve been collecting for several decades.
Even more wonderful is the sight of the Pohutukawa tree, AKA New Zealand’s native Christmas tree, in full, glorious bloom right outside my window. Every year these trees put on a fabulous show with their bright red flowers.
Anyway, I thought I should do one more post before I shut down for a wee break. I’ll be closing the shop on the afternoon of the 24th December & will reopen on the 5th January.
I have lots of supplies in to make Christmas gift boxes. Mostly New Zealand made goodies from Festive cookies from Molly Woppy, Dr Bugs popcorn & candy floss,cChocolates from Donovan’s & Whitakker’s, cheeses from Food Snob, Puhoi Valley & Kapiti, coconut Ice from Kapiti, relish & pickles from Barker’s, crackers from 180 Degrees to name a few. presented in a natural & recyclable gift box. These can be delivered to homes & offices throughout Auckland right up to the 24th December. They can also be shipped outside of Auckland to anywhere in New Zealand. The cut off for out of Auckland deliveries will be the 17th December.
Christmas Lilies are now available at the markets. These are a big favourite to decorate your home or office. They last at least 10-14 days & have the most heavenly fragrance.
Sunflowers are also back in stock now & are a really great price at the moment. Both the Christmas Lilies & the Sunflowers are available in the online store.
If you’re still looking for great Christmas present ideas there are always a cool plant. I currently have Blue Star Ferns, String of Pearls & Philodendron Birkin plants. These come with a Stone Fusion pot made from wool, clay & recycled plastics.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. May 2022 bring much needed peace to the world.
