Go Flowers is based in Auckland City, New Zealand and was established in 2011 to provide quality flowers for gifts, weddings & events to the greater Auckland region.
Hi! My name is Meghann Humphries (she/her) & I am the owner & designer at Go Flowers NZ. My professional service draws on over 30 years experience. From early morning starts at the auctions collecting fresh flowers, to working out of my Kingsland studio, my fine attention to detail and extensive knowledge sees care and love throughout all my designs.
My journey in floristry began in 1987. After working on a Cut Flower Nursery to gain practical experience, I continued on to complete a Diploma of Horticulture specialising in Cut Flower Production, from Massey University. I have worked various positions in the industry which include sales, quality control and crop supervision, before finding my niche in Flower Wholesaling.
The transition from Flower Wholesaler to Florist happened quite accidentally when a friend of a friend asked me to help source Frangipani for her wedding, back in 2001. She then asked if I would consider doing the bridal flowers! Working on my first solo wedding was one of those ‘eureka’ moments.
Since then I have drawn on my knowledge of flowers gained from my long-term experience in the flower industry and have honed my floristry skills to develop a style of my own.
