What is involved in creating your wedding flowers?

Firstly, I find no wedding is exactly the same & for that reason I don’t have wedding packages.

After your initial inquiry I will send you a request for a bit more detailed information. Things like whether you have favourite flowers or perhaps you have inspiration photos to share with me. If you’re keen we can schedule an appointment for a 1 hour consultation at my Kingsland studio. We could also do a “Zoom” consultation if a “Face to Face” meeting isn’t possible. This will give me a better feel for what your envisaging on your big day.

Once we’ve discussed your wedding further I will prepare a quote for you. I then give you a month to consider my quote & to decide if we’re going to be a good fit. During this month I will hold your wedding date for you.

On acceptance of my quote I require a small booking fee of $100 to lock in your date. This booking fee is non-refundable & covers the work I have done during the consultation process. It will be deducted off your final invoice should you use my services. Should your wedding need to be postponed due to Auckland going into a lockdown for Covid-19 I will transfer your booking fee to a new date. *Please check with me that I am available for your new date.

I require full payment one month prior to your wedding day.

There is a lot involved in creating your beautiful flowers. I purchase my flowers from several local suppliers. Many are bought at the flower auction. The auction starts at 5 in the morning so I get up at 4 AM! There are 100’s of florists busy at work long before many people are even out of bed. We are a dedicated lot! I usually spend 2-3 hours at the auction so I’m back on the road just in time to join the peak traffic to the city. Processing your lovely flowers takes me another couple of hours. This is where I recut all the stems, remove the packaging, the lower foliage & any nasty thorns. I store most flowers in my chiller to maintain optimum freshness.

Then it’s time to get designing. This can take anything from 3-48 hours depending on the size of your event. On the really big events I have helpers to get everything done.

Finally, it’s time to deliver all the lovely bouquets & boutonnieres to various addresses (usually 2) around the greater Auckland area. Then I go on to the ceremony & reception venues to install everything from table centrepieces to archways to floral chandeliers & ceiling garlands! This can take as little as an hour to 4 hours for a team of 4!

All this I do so that when you & your guests arrive it all looks fabulous & so do you having been spared the extra stress of coordinating all this work on your big day.

Minimum Spend is $600 (this would get you either of the following)

  1. One Main Bouquet, One Attendant’s Bouquet, Two Boutonnieres & Delivery to one address.

  2. Two Main Bouquets & Delivery to one address
