GO FLOWERS NZ

Our Story

Go Flowers is based in Auckland City, New Zealand and was established in 2011 to provide quality flowers for gifts, weddings & events to the greater Auckland region.

Owned and operated by Meghann Humphries, her professional service draws on over 30 years experience. From early morning starts at the auctions collecting fresh flowers, to working out of her Kingsland studio, her fine attention to detail and extensive knowledge sees care and love throughout all her arrangements.

Her journey in floristry began in 1987. After working on a Cut Flower Nursery to gain practical experience, she continued on to complete a Diploma of Horticulture specialising in Cut Flower Production, from Massey University. She has worked various positions in the industry which include sales, quality control and crop supervision, before finding her niche in Flower Wholesaling.

“The transition from Flower Wholesaler to Florist happened quite accidentally when a friend of a friend asked me to help source Frangipani for her wedding, back in 2001”, says Meghann. “She then asked if I would consider doing the bridal flowers! Working on my first solo wedding was one of those ‘eureka’ moments.”

Since then she has drawn on her knowledge of flowers gained from her long-term experience in the flower industry and has honed her floristry skills to develop a style of her own.

How It All Began.

Go Flowers is based in Auckland City, New Zealand and was established in 2011, initially as a Specialist Wedding Florist, to provide quality flowers for weddings, events &, more recently, gifts to the greater Auckland region.
Owned and operated by Meghann Humphries, her professional service draws on over 30 years experience. From early morning starts at the auctions collecting fresh flowers, to working out of her Kingsland studio, her fine attention to detail and extensive knowledge sees care and love throughout all her arrangements.

Our Company Policy

It is our mission to create beautiful floral gifts, wedding & event flowers for our valued customers. Using only the best available quality flowers & foliage sourced predominantly from NZ local markets & growers. Very occasionally we may use imported product if there is not sufficient NZ grown, quality product available. We stand by our product. Flowers are a perishable product. As a rule fresh flowers should last 7-10 days with the right treatment. We supply specially formulated Flower Food to add to the water. This can help to keep your flowers alive longer. Clean vases & clean water help to limit the growth of bacteria in the water. Flowers respond best if you recut their stems before placing in water. Recutting the stems & changing the water after 3 days will also improve their vase life. If for any reason you are not happy with the flowers received please call us within 3 days of delivery & we will replace them or arrange a store credit or refund.

Helping The Environment

Wherever possible we like to implement good practices within our company to help the planet. We do this by composting all our green waste so it doesn't go into landfill. We are also constantly thinking about our packaging options, keeping the non-recyclable content of our products to a minimum. It is  difficult to avoid all plastics as flowers need some hydration while on their way to the recipient. However, we will endeavour to  use recyclable plastics for this purpose. We are also happy to have you return to us any of these plastic items for reuse. We will even throw in a sweetener of a $5 credit on your next purchase with us.
